TThe population of doubled haploid winter oilseed rape lines was prepared and characterized with the use of RAPD markers. Chemical characters and molecular markers of two parental lines were described. The DH-JN-86 line has low erucic acid and high glucosinolate content in seeds whereas the DH-ER2-13/1 line has high erucic acid and low glucosinolate content in seeds. Total of 73 RAPD markers were found for these two lines. After the cross of parental lines DH-JN-86 × DH-ER2-13/1, from the resulted F1 hybrid, 320 dihaploid lines were obtained using microspore derived embryos. Very high degree of phenotypic variation was found in that population. RAPD analyses revealed bands that were polymorphic among the population. Some of them corresponded to distinct and stable RAPD markers.
